The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) has confirmed that it will fire its cadre who was elected as a member of the Singkawang DPRD, West Kalimantan. The legislator with the initials HA is a suspect in an immoral case.
“The firm action will include dismissal from PKS membership and dismissal from the DPRD,” said Acting President of PKS Ahmad Heryawan (Aher) at the PKS National Working Meeting, Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel, Jakarta, Sunday (22/9).
The sanctions are being processed by the PKS legal team. The announcement of the dismissal is just a matter of time.
Aher said PKS does not tolerate any action that leads to sexual crimes. “PKS does not tolerate immoral acts, sexual crimes, sexual violence whatsoever,” Aher stressed.
Previously, the inauguration of members of the Singkawang DPRD, West Kalimantan for the 2024-2029 period was in the spotlight. The elected Singkawang DPRD member HA was named a suspect in indecent acts against minors.
Despite his suspect status, HA is still free and he even attended the inauguration of Singkawang DPRD members at the Ballroom of the Singkawang Mayor’s Building today, Tuesday, September 17, 2024. (P-5)
