Radomiak started the new PKO BP Ekstraklasa season with a victory. The team from Radom defeated the newcomer GKS Katowice in the first round. In the next matches it was not so good. In the second round Radomiak lost to the Polish champion Jagiellonia Białystok. The match of the third round with Śląsk Wrocław was postponed to another date. Górnik is slowly gaining momentum in the new season. They started the season with a defeat to Lech Poznań, then the Zabrze team drew with Puszcza Niepołomice.
