PKB Special Committee Continues, Plans to Ask for Information from Effendy Choirie – 2024-08-06 23:32:58

The team formed by the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU) or the PKB Special Committee (Pansus) will invite Effendy Choirie or often called Gus Choi. The former PKB politician will be asked to come to PBNU to explain the historical details of how Muhaimin Iskandar became the general chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB).

Effendy is considered to know in detail the dynamics that occurred when Muhaimin was able to control the PKB and defeat the KH Abdurahman Wahid (Gus Dur) camp.

“Today’s invitation has been sent to him (Effendy Choirie). Hopefully he will be willing to attend so that he can provide additional data to us,” said Deputy Secretary General of PBNU Faisal Saimima in a press statement received Indonesian Media in Jakarta, Tuesday (6/8).

The invitation to Effendy Choirie himself was signed by members of the PBNU assistance team who are also Deputy General Chairperson of PBNU KH Amin Said Husni and Faisal Saimima as Deputy Secretary General.

In the invitation letter numbered 2105/PB.03/BI01.08/99/08/2024, Effendy is expected to come to the Meeting Room on the 5th Floor of the PBNU Building on Wednesday (7/8) at 12.30 WIB.

So far, at least two figures have been invited by PBNU by the PKB Special Committee, namely former PKB Secretary General Muhammad Lukman Edy and PKB Secretary General Hasanuddin Wahid. (X-7)
