The National Awakening Party (PKB) continues to accept input from Vice President (Wapres) Ma’ruf Amin. Previously, PKB General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin met Ma’ruf and reported intervention from the Nahdatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU) against his party.

“We will also continue to fight for the aspirations of Nahdiyin. That is the first. Second, when there is input like that, we will accept that input,” said Deputy Chairman of the PKB Syuro Council Maman Imanulhaq at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, today.

Maman said that PKB and PBNU actually have history. PKB will not leave PBNU.

“The point is that PBNU and PKB have a historical, aspirational, and cultural relationship. We will never leave PBNU,” said Maman.

Cak Imin has met with Vice President Ma’ruf Amin. Cak Imin complained about intervention from PBNU against PKB. “We also reported that there was a desire for intervention from PBNU,” said Cak Imin at the Vice President’s Official Residence, Jalan Diponegoro, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Thursday, August 15, 2024.

Vice President Ma’ruf, said Cak Imin, asked PKB and PBNU to obey the constitution. PKB and PBNU must stand on different rules. (P-2)
