PJF workers protest prior to business meeting of the “US-Mexico CEO Dialogue”

MEXICO CITY.— This Tuesday morning, workers from the Judicial Branch of the Federation (PJF) demonstrated in front of National Palacein Mexico Cityto protest against judicial reform driven by the 4T Government.

The PJF workers stood in the Currency Streetoutside the National Palace, where the meeting of Mexican and American businessmen called “US-Mexico CEO Dialogue”.

The protesters carried banners with legends written in English, French and Spanish against the reform, among which were messages such as: “Justice by choice is corruption“.

Other messages were: “Voted judges, a risk for foreign investments“; “Judicial reform without autonomy, agony of the economy”; “Not even Secretary Ebrad voted for the Judicial Reform, guess why?”, and “Without justice there is no commerce.”

The president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo will participate in the meeting with Mexican and foreign businessmen.

The workers of the Judicial Branch of the Federation (PJF) continue their protests against the reform of the Judiciary, This time they manifested themselves in the Bankers Club and the Association of Banks of Mexico.

Prior to the 14th Edition of the “US-Mexico CEO Dialogue”, which will bring together around dozens of private sector leaders who will engage in dialogue about the challenges and opportunities in trade and investment matters.

Like yesterday, workers gather on 16 de Septiembre Avenue to show their discontent with the judicial reform, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) on September 15.

For their part, security elements of the facility placed metal fences and protected the place.

With the slogans: “Claudia, abort, justice is not voted on”, “judge voted, corrupt insured”, “banker, banker, do not be indifferent, Mexico requires independent justice”, “let them come see it, let them come to see, this is not a government, it is a dictatorship in power”, “judge by election, it affects investment”; The protesters begin the first mobilization to raise awareness among investors.

This afternoon, the Annual High Level Dialogue of US and Mexican companies (CEO Dialogue), in which President Claudia Sheinbaum will participate.

This event will have the participation of 240 business leaders from the United States and Canada.

The companies’ lines of business range from financial services, health, renewable energy, transportation and logistics, manufacturing, technology and innovation, communications, food and beverages, infrastructure, tourism and automotive.
