Piyush Goyal meets with Singapore’s DBS CEO to discuss investments

New Delhi: Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal has met Piyush Gupta, CEO and Director of Singapore-based DBS Group.

After the meeting, Goyal said in a SundayX post that they discussed the group’s plans to “scale up investments in India,” including increasing engagement with the small and medium enterprise sector.

Goyal shared a photo of the meeting in his post and wrote: “Also, discussions were held on how to bring together stakeholders from different sectors in India and Singapore to identify synergies, create opportunities and chart a mutually beneficial way forward.”

DBS Bank is a leading financial services group in Asia with operations in 19 major markets. It is headquartered in Singapore and listed in Singapore.

DBS Bank has been operating in India for 30 years, since opening its first office in Mumbai in 1994.
