The 1-year-old boy was discovered by his aunt with burns to his face and body with wounds suspected of having BH, some of which may have been pricked with cigarette butts.
On April 12, Hoc Mon District Police (HCMC) said that it is urgently verifying the information that a 1-year-old boy has many injuries suspected of being infected with BH.
The boy lives with his parents at Thoi Tam Thon 16 street, Thoi Tam Thon commune, Hoc Mon district.
On the morning of April 12, the boy’s parents took him to the motel room of Ms. T. (her biological aunt) regarding 200 meters away from their residence to take care of him. Ms. T. saw that her face was burned, so she asked her parents that she was playing and was splashed with boiling water.
In addition to the burn, Ms. T also discovered that on her body there were many wounds on her back, face and some suspected wounds from being injected with cigarette butts, in addition, she also broke her arm. Suspicious that she has BH, so Ms. T. reported to the police.
People said that the child’s parents are a couple of regarding 20 years old, who have rented a room in Thoi Tam Thon 16 for regarding a month. Currently, Hoc Mon district police have worked with the child’s parents to clarify whether the injuries on his body were caused by BH.
