PT Pertamina International Shipping is one of the official sponsors of the Jakarta Pertamina Pertamax and Jakarta Pertamina Enduro volleyball teams, which will compete in the 2024 Proliga competition this season.
The two clubs are made by PT Pertamina Lubricants and PT Pertamina Patra Niaga (PPN), which were officially launched to compete in top volleyball matches starting April 25.
“This is the first time PIS has sponsored a volleyball club for a national league. This support also marks PIS’ commitment to supporting the sport of volleyball as a favorite among Indonesian people and is a form of strong synergy within the Pertamina Group,” said PIS Corporate Secretary Muh. Aryomekka Firdaus, Thursday (18/4).
Aryomekka explained that synergy in the Pertamina Group is not only for business, but also for other activities which are believed to bring positive energy to society.
“PIS’s synergy with Pertamina Lubricants and Patra Niaga has been in terms of distributing superior products such as lubricants, fuel, LPG and others to meet community needs,” said Aryomekka.
With this support, he continued, the synergy in the Pertamina Group is getting stronger to advance Indonesia from many sides. Starting from energy security, economic growth and sporting achievements. PIS also appreciates the efforts made by Pertamina Lubricants and Pertamina Patra Niaga so far in developing national sports.

President Director of PT Pertamina Lubricants and Chef de Mission Werry Prayogi warmly welcomed the first sponsorship support by PIS for this year’s competition season.
“This is a form of concern from Pertamina’s friends to work together to make this team better, carrying Pertamina’s name in helping advance Indonesian volleyball,” explained Werry.
Jakarta Pertamina Pertamax team captain Aji Maulana explained that the support from Pertamina Group is fuel for encouragement for the team to make the best contribution in this competition.
He is optimistic that the Pertamina Group volleyball team can achieve better results this season.
“With the new squad composition, we are optimistic that we can recover and achieve better results than the previous year’s competition,” said Aji. (RO/Z-1)
