Pirelli announces tire selection for the opening three rounds of the 2022 F1 World Championship … Australian Grand Prix skips C4 irregular distribution[F1-Gate .com]

Pirelli announces tire compands for the 2022 F1 World Championship Opening 3 race. The F1 Australian Grand Prix has an irregular distribution that skips C4 compounds.

Melbourne will hold its third round next month. It will be the return of the calendar since it was canceled at the last minute due to the new coronavirus in 2020. The softest C5 tires of Pirelli’s dry compound were distributed, but the C4 tires were skipped and the other two tires were C2 and C3.

It is the first time since 2018 that Pirelli has not nominated three adjacent compounds in the tire range.

Since F1’s last race in 2019, the Albert Park Circuit has undergone major changes and some corners have changed.

The hardest C1, C2 and C3 were selected at the opening round of the F1 Bahrain Grand Prix this weekend.

The F1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, which debuted last year before the final round, was held as the second round, with C2, C3 and C4 tires selected.

This year, F1 will introduce 18-inch wheels as part of a wide range of technical regulations.

In 2022, the F1 team will receive the same number of tires for all drivers. On a standard weekend, each driver receives 13 sets of slick tires, consisting of 2 sets of hard, 3 sets of medium and 8 sets of soft to cover practice, qualifying and finals.
