After various rumors and leaks, the new collaboration between Fortnite and The pirates of the caribbean is now live in the battle royale. In this new event, players will be able to search for buried treasure, complete nautical challenges, earn rewards in the Cursed Sails Pass, and more until August 6.
The Cursed Sails event comes with its own event pass that has both free and premium versions, and purchasing the premium version will automatically get you the previously available Jack Sparrow outfit.
The LEGO version of this skin is automatically obtained when you purchase the base version, and the premium version of the reward tracker has a “Cursed Jack Sparrow” skeletal skin in addition to its LEGO version as well.
Other elements of the event pass include pickaxes, emotes, and the usual array of Fortnite cosmetics to acquire, but in-game tasks will also earn you rewards. Some themed in-game items are also available in Battle Royale mode, such as a Ship in a Bottle that summons a ship to crash into opponents, a Pirate Cannon that will launch you around, and Buried Treasure that grants better loot if unearthed.
Lastly, Jack Sparrow isn’t the only skin you can get in this event, as Elizabeth Swann, Captain Barbossa, and Davy Jones are also in Fortnite now with different LEGO styles and related cosmetics, such as swords, backpacks, and more. However, all of them are in the item shop, so you’ll have to pay for the additional Pirates of the Caribbean content if you want them.
