Pipe repaired in the middle of the Gran Cacique Guaicaipuro highway

The Ministry of Transport reported that it is working to replace a broken pipe on the Gran Cacique Guaicaipuro highwayat the height of San Juan.

Through a post on Instagram, the ministry stated that in the slow channel, east-west direction, in the San Juan sector, the replacement of the pipeline has been carried out, which is 8 to 10 inches “due to the undermining produced on the road.”

Impacto Venezuela also reported through X that one of the pipes broke, which has affected traffic on that section of the highway. Engineers are in the process of replacing the pipe, and warn that it will take time to fix it.

Rains have affected several sections of the highway

The pipeline breakage occurs a day after heavy rains hit the entire Venezuelan capital, especially in the west.with reports of fallen trees and flooding that slowed traffic in the afternoon and evening hours.

On Monday, flooding was reported on the Gran Cacique Guaicaipuro highway towards Caricuao due to heavy rains near the La Paz station.
