Pink October: Centro Ciudad Mujer holds interactive talks this Friday

Asunción, IP Agency.- A talk on self-examination and management of warning signs takes place this Friday from 8:00, by Dr. Dulce Portillo, at the Ciudad Mujer Center, located on 16 de Julio and Avda. Von Poleski, Virgen neighborhood del Carmen, Villa Elisa.

The Pink October campaign “Let’s make prevention a tradition”, within the framework of the International Day to Fight Breast Cancer, is led this year by the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare, with support from the Office of the First Lady, the Ministry of Women and the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies (MITIC).

The agenda also includes multidisciplinary interactive talks by professionals starting at 9:00, on work licenses for working women. This activity will be carried out by the General Directorate of Promotion of Women of the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security. In accordance with Law No. 6211/2018, which modifies article 1 of Law No. 3,803/2009, workers are granted leave to undergo Pap smear and mammography exams.

Likewise, the Picnic will also be held starting at 9:00, with the Education for Equity Module (MEPE) of the Ciudad Mujer Center; and Zumba Rosa, at 11:00, with the National Sports Secretariat (SND), which consists of an active rhythmic break.

The day will continue on Monday the 21st with three talks, starting at 7:15. The first will be with Dr. Fátima Rivoir, about Breastfeeding and its benefits; followed by another talk on Tips for healthy habits, promotion of an active and healthy life, with Lic. Claudia Melgarejo, from the Nutrition Area of ​​the Sexual and Reproductive Health Module, dependent on the General Hospital of Villa Elisa.

The activity will conclude with the talk on how to face a diagnosis of breast cancer, given by Lic. Ángeles Arce, from the Psychology Area.
