The revelation was garnished with a lot of suspense. First, pregnant Laura Maria announced in a video that she had prepared “a little something” for father Pietro. She already knows the gender of the child – the father-to-be doesn’t yet. And they no longer want to put followers through torture.
On Wednesday evening the time had come: the couple posted a video online in which they were seen sitting in front of a television. You can see there: the legendary scene from the Disney classic “The Lion King”, in which the monkey Rafiki ceremoniously presents the little lion Simba to the animals of the savannah. Then the words flew into the picture: “It’s a… Boy!” (German: “It’s a boy!”).
“The next one will be a girl”
The couple already has son Leano together. In January it was revealed that more offspring were on the way. Pietro Lombardi also had son Alessio with his ex-wife Sarah Engels in 2015. The singer commented humorously on his now male offspring on Instagram: He will love his now three boys forever – “but I’m not giving up,” he wrote. “The next one will be a girl.”
Lombardi became known in 2011 as the winner of the eighth season of the RTL casting show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” (DSDS). Since then he has had success with hits such as “Call My Name”, “Senorita” and “Phänomenal”, among others.
