Piers Morgan: I used to defend Israel, but what I see today from Rafa is horrible VIDEO – 2024-07-03 12:15:58

Piers Morgan called the images of Rafa horrific in a post on ‘X’.

In his post he notes that he had defended his right Israel in self-defense after the October 7 attack, but what is being done now with the slaughter of so many innocents, is appalling.

“The scenes from Rafa during the night, they are horrible. I defended Israel’s right to defend itself after October 7, but to slaughter so many innocent people, in a refugee camp, is unjustifiable. Stop this now Benjamin Netanyahu“, he specifically wrote to “X”.

In mid-May, British journalist Piers Morgan put Israeli government spokesman Avi Heyman at a disadvantage in an interview when the conversation turned to the number of civilians and its terrorists Hamas who have been killed by the Israeli armed forces in Gaza.

Morgan even went so far as to describe what the Israeli representative was telling him as “nonsense”, demanding – without receiving – an answer as to how many civilians have been killed in Gaza.

Heyman’s bad day was evident early in the debate when he claimed that Israel has safely removed 100,000 civilians from Rafah, with Morgan promptly reminding him that “that leaves about 1.4 million civilians who are left behind ».

Things got even worse when the British journalist said that “you have killed 40,000 people in Gaza and among them many civilians, women and children” with Heyman telling him “of the number of Hamas that you cite, more than 14,000 are terrorists we neutralized.”

“So how many civilians do you think you’ve killed?” Morgan began the presser, with the Israeli spokesman saying “we don’t have exact numbers, so as you know the situation with the war is foggy.”

“Since you know exactly how many terrorists you have killed, you should also know how many civilians. Otherwise you’re prioritizing the lives of terrorists over the lives of innocents,” Morgan pressed on.

When, however, the Israeli representative claimed that “the numbers given by Hamas are wrong”, according to the protothema, the British journalist hit back: “well, since they are wrong why did you mention them to me?”.

“You are the representative of the Israeli government and you don’t know how many civilians you have killed,” Morgan insisted. “I don’t have that information, I’m not authorized to give it to you,” Heyman replied, and then the British journalist exploded: “What you’re telling me is nonsense. Are you authorized to tell me the number of terrorists you killed but not the number of civilians? You come here as a representative of Israel and you don’t want to be asked how many civilians you killed because you don’t know. Do you realize how ridiculous this is?’

“We’re in a foggy situation,” Heyman repeated, with Morgan replying, “it seems that’s the case with civilians and not with Hamas terrorists.”
