The Chaudière – Appalaches Seniors Consultation Table, in partnership with the Chaudière-Appalaches URLS, awarded a “Prix Hommage Aînés” certificate to Pierre Sévigny.
This honorary distinction aims to recognize the contribution of a senior who is very involved in their community and whose actions have contributed or continue to contribute to improving the living conditions of people within their community.
Pierre Sévigny’s voluntary commitments began in 1968 within the Les Cabotins Theater Troupe in Thetford, where he worked for 43 years. In addition to his journalistic career, his involvement was also important and very diversified, notably in the Cerebral Palsy Telethon, during the Asbestos Festival, within the Community Television of the Appalachian region (TVCRA) and at the Corporation community development in Appalachia in particular.
Currently, he is still very active during the Zénith Gala of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Thetford region and within the Appalachian Voluntary Action Association (AAVA).
