Pierre Palmade victim of a stroke this Saturday

The comedian Pierre Palmade suffered a cerebrovascular accident (CVA) at the Paul-Brousse hospital in Villejuif (Val-de-Marne), several media reported on Saturday, specifying that “his vital prognosis is however not engaged”.

Joined by AFP, the actor’s lawyer, Céline Lasek, did not wish to confirm.

The stroke occurred “shortly before 7 p.m.” and the 54-year-old actor is “conscious but very weakened”, specifies the Sunday newspaper (JDD).

Pierre Palmade was in the addiction service of the Paul-Brousse hospital, where he has been under house arrest, under electronic bracelet, since his indictment for “homicide and involuntary injuries” following the serious accident under the influence of the cocaine he provoked on February 10.

He was then transferred to the Kremlin-Bicêtre hospital, according to Le Parisien and the JDD.

The Melun prosecutor’s office, which had requested his placement in pre-trial detention, appealed once morest the decision of house arrest. After a closed-door hearing on Friday, in the absence of the comedian, the Paris Court of Appeal reserved its decision until Monday, 11:30 a.m.

He is also the subject of an investigation into the possession of child pornography images, opened following a report was made to the police. A man was indicted on Saturday for dissemination and possession of child pornography images, and placed under judicial supervision as part of this investigation.
