MUSIC – A duel between two former comrades. The next NRJ Music Awards ceremony will be held on November 1st in Cannes, hosted by Nikos Aliagas. TF1 revealed the list of the different categories and nominees on Monday, June 23rd. There are regulars like Louane and Aya Nakamura in the women’s category, or Amir and Slimane in the men’s category. In the Revelation category, however, two former students of the Star Academy will face off.
De fiat, Héléna and Pierre Garnier are both nominated against rappers and TikTok stars Carbonne (Imagine) and Jungeli (Petit génie), but also Jeck, former candidate of The Voice 2023.
Héléna Bailly, her full name, lost to Pierre Garnier in the semi-final of the last season of the Star Academy. She was one of the most streamed artists in France this summer with her tracks Summer Body et New Heart.
Pierre Garnier has become a phenomenon since his victory in the TF1 talent show. His album Every Secondwhich includes in particular the titles Who we were, We know et Not a tear sold nearly 100,000 copies, and tickets for his 2025 Zénith tour were snapped up in minutes. Who will succeed Nuit Incolore, winner of this award in 2023? The answer will be on November 1st.
The NRJ Music Awards 2024
This evening will also be the occasion for Aya Nakamura, Vitaa and Louane to win their 2nd NRJ Music Award for French-speaking female artist. Among the men, only Slimane has already had the chance to leave with this award.
As a reminder, at the NRJ Music Awards, it is the public who chooses. Those who wish can vote for their favorite artist and songs since noon this Monday, September 23. They have until Friday, November 1 at noon to do so.
