2023 is shaping up too be an exciting year for Latvian music lovers. The beloved group Pienvedėja Adventures is set to release their seventh studio album on May 8th, marking a new chapter in their musical journey. The anticipation is palpable, especially after the recent release of their latest single, “Kā nekad.”
Describing “Kā nekad,” the band frontman, Māris Žigats, shares, “Each of us has a special person whom we often idealize. This song is not a specific story, but our point of view on this type of relationship.” The track showcases a softer, more introspective side to the group, aptly described as a song that could “even be used to ask a lady for a slow dance at a ball.” Though,the essence of Pienvedėja Adventures’ unique sound remains intact,as drummer Pēteris Lunde adds,”The new song ‘Kā nekad’ is kept in much calmer tones,it could even be used to ask a lady for a slow dance at a ball,however,the characteristic handwriting of the ‘milkmen’ has been preserved.”

To celebrate the release of their new album,Pienvedėja Adventures will be embarking on a series of presentation concerts. on May 8th, the journey begins in Riga at the concert hall of the Tallinn quarter “Angārs,” followed by a stop in Liepāja at the cultural house “Wiktorija” on May 10th. on May 23rd,the tour culminates in Jelgava at the club “Melno cepurišu balerija.”
Guitarist Aldis Lunde-Kurzemnieks promises that the concerts will feature a mix of new material and fan favorites, creating a night of unforgettable musical experiences. “At these concerts we will be playing songs from the new album that we think are very mature for the age of the band. Of course, the concerts will not be complete without the band’s biggest hits,” he teases.
