International singer Shakira broke her silence following officially announcing the separation from her boyfriend, Spanish football star Gerard Pique, to respond to the news circulating a few days ago regarding her transfer to the hospital.
And it was reported that Shakira was in a state of panic and ill health following the news of her separation from Pique was circulated through the media a few days ago, so she was transferred by her mother and Pique to a hospital near her home in Barcelona.
But the international singer announced in a brief statement that she was already in an ambulance, but the incident dates back to the end of last week, explaining that her father fell ill and required his hospitalization.
The statement attached a photo of her with her father, showing bruises and bandages on his face as a result of the accident.
Shakira thanked and appreciated everyone who reassured her following the news spread, saying: “I received a lot of messages regarding my presence in the hospital… I want to say that this picture is old, and it dates back to last week when my father was sick and his condition required a transfer to the hospital… and he is recovering now, Thank you for your messages and support.”
Pique and Shakira issued a joint statement on Saturday, announcing their separation following 12 years of a love relationship that did not amount to an official marriage, during which they had two children.
The two stars said, “We regret to confirm our separation. We ask that privacy be respected for the good of our children who are our top priority.”
