A man surnamed Wang in Dalian City, Liaoning Province in mainland China had previously found an abandoned sofa in a garbage dump. Although the cloth was tattered, he thought the sponge inside might be reused, so he picked it up and took it home. Unexpectedly, Wang Nan disassembled the sofa while he was at work, and as soon as he opened it, a small package fell out. It contained 4 deposit slips, 5 passbooks and 1 ATM card, with a total amount of RMB 160,000 ( regarding NT$690,000).
Comprehensive Lu media reports, Wang Nan found an abandoned sofa near a garbage dump in Dalian City on the 27th. At that time, it had been lying in the same place for many days. After using it, he pulled the sofa open and was regarding to take out the sponge. Unexpectedly, a small package fell out of it, which contained 1 magazine, 4 deposit slips, 5 passbooks and 1 ATM card.
Among the multiple passbooks, one of the passbooks has RMB 50,000 (regarding NT$210,000), and the other is suspected to be a salary passbook. Since 2017, there has been a bank flow record, and the amount is recorded at a fixed time every month. By April 2019, the amount entered into the account stopped, and then 9,500 yuan (regarding NT$41,000) was withdrawn at one time. The owners of these passbooks and certificates of deposit are “Liu Moufu” and “Li Mou’e” respectively.
After police investigation, it was found that the sofa cushion was thrown by an old lady in the nearby community. After the property management personnel learned regarding it, they quickly found the old lady. Surprisingly, the old lady said that the sofa cushion was picked up by her three years ago and is not used now. During the period, she did not find anything in the cushion. Wang Nan said, “If these deposits have not been withdrawn, it should be a large amount of money for the owner of the passbook or his family,” hoping to find the owner as soon as possible.
