After activating the Physical Activity and Recreation Clubs, promoted by the Government of Miranda, more than 4,000 communities of the entity will have sports and recreational days.
With the motto The physical activity movement reaches Miranda, the first community to join was Marare, in the Tomás Lander municipality, where 600 inhabitants of the sector, including children, youth, adults and the elderly, participated in classes dance therapy, aerobics, taebox, yoga, among other sports activities.
In these days of the Physical Activity and Recreation Clubs, in addition to the physical area, the children will have inflatable mattresses and a set of speed races.
Teylor Mijares, director of Sports Massification of the Regional Institute of Sport and Physical Activity of Miranda State (Irdafim), indicated that the development of the events will have the support of the municipal sports institutes and the organized community.
“This is an initiative of Governor Héctor Rodríguez, which seeks for all Mirandinos to participate in these physical activities to end a sedentary lifestyle and create healthy spaces in Miranda for all our inhabitants. Physical activity is very important for overall health, for the physical strengthening of our bodies, to get rid of stress and to feel good. We will continue advancing with this campaign to offer health and life to the communities”, he expressed.
Mijares stressed that a multidisciplinary team, made up of coaches and sports promoters specialized in physical training, is responsible for bringing sports and recreation to each Mirandino space.
