Thai SOLOIST Phum Viphurit released a new single entitled Balter Baby, which can be heard on various music streaming platforms, such as Spotify and YouTube Music, and the music video can be watched on Phum Viphurit’s YouTube channel.
In a press statement, quoted on Sunday (13/10), Balter Baby is a continuation of the previous single The Other Side, which tells the story of Paul Vibhavadi, the slow loris and Phum Viphurit’s alter ego.
Paul is depicted struggling with the rain of worship from the slow loris worshiping tribe he met on his journey to find the magical Himmapan forest.

“I wanted to develop the scene from the previous music video which showed the tribe worshiping him (Paul) by dancing like in the film Midsommer by Ari Aster,” said Phum.
“So, this song shows Paul being lulled by that and what he feels in the dance scene,” he continued.
Interestingly, Phum tells part of Paul’s story through an instrumental song without vocals in the song Balter Baby this time.

Even though he felt challenged when working on Balter Baby, Phum feels that this project is interesting and hopes that listeners can join in
enjoy it.
“I have previously released music that tends to be instrumental, but there is always a glimpse of my vocals. This song is really for accompanying people to dance,” said Phum.
“I realize that this is quite a conceptual work, and there will be a lot of interpretations of it, but I’m very excited for it
show my creativity and make people feel something again through this work,” he added.
The single Balter Baby can be heard on various music streaming platforms, such as Spotify and YouTube Music. Apart from that, the Balter Baby music video can be watched on Phum Viphurit’s official YouTube channel. (Ant/Z-1)
