One of the largest clinical and real estate projects in the province, and certainly the largest construction site in Quebec, continues to take shape in the landscape of the Maizerets district. The construction site, where nearly 500 workers are busy daily, is progressing smoothly and several pavilions have already been completed, such as the cancer center. However, there is still a lot of work to be done before the project is completed in 2029. The newspaper takes you inside this major construction site.

The construction site of the new hospital complex is a veritable anthill with just over 500 workers. Next year, this number will climb to between 600 and 700, according to the general director of the NCH project office at the Société québécoise des infrastructures, Robert Topping.

The entire fourth floor of the critical care building will accommodate around 60 ventilation units, all of which have been grouped together to make things easier. Each unit is as large as a 53-foot tractor-trailer.
