The appearance of the 2024 VW Tiguan is no longer a secret. Back in winter, Auto Mail.ru presented its vision of how the novelty might look. Now we have the opportunity to get an even better look at the car without any camouflage thanks to leaked images.
Three photos published by MQB-Coding & Retrofit show the front and rear of the car, as well as the interior of the third generation Tiguan. It should officially debut later this year and go on sale in Europe and Australia in 2024.
In the spy shots, we can see that the Tiguan has received a wide lower grille consisting of a simple panel that connects the darkened headlight clusters. She almost certainly got the highlight. Strict straight side lines are a thing of the past. The novelty now has softer forms, emphasized by a pair of “folds” above the front and rear wheels. A distinctive feature of the rear is a wide plastic panel that connects the two taillights.
The third image shows the interior. Here we see a digital instrument panel and a 15-inch touch screen multimedia system. The removal of the traditional gear lever on the center console made room for a new driving mode selector. It’s a cross between BMW’s iDrive controller and a traditional drive mode switch. It allows you to change a lot of car settings with a combination of turning the dial and pressing its center. VW says that it can be used to adjust the volume, adjust the operation of the all-wheel drive system and powertrain, as well as lighting. This, of course, looks cool, but time will tell how convenient this solution will be.
