The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, is turning 40 with grace and beauty.
To mark Prince William’s wife’s birthday, which takes place on January 9, Kensington Palace has released three new portraits worthy of a future queen.
These photos were taken last November by photographer Paolo Roversi in Kew Gardens, London.
A first image, in black and white, presents the Duchess who seems straight out of the past in an elegant white chiffon dress (photo at the top of the article).
In a second photo, Kate Middleton appears all smiles in a sparkling red satin one-sleeve dress with pockets.

The third photo, also in black and white, shows the mother of three in a simple pose, wearing a frilly one-sleeve dress.

The three portraits will be added to the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery.
