The event, which marked its tenth anniversary, was an opportunity for the two queens to celebrate Spanish and Latin American cinema, but also to highlight their friendship in front of the many photographers and journalists present.

The day before, April 17, the two Spanish monarchs were invited to a state dinner in the sumptuous Burgerzaal Hall of the Royal Palace in Amsterdam, organized by their Dutch counterparts. In remarkable elegance, the two queens were dressed in superb evening dresses, adorned with precious tiaras. This prestigious dinner was also the opportunity for Crown Princess Catharina-Amalia, future Queen of the Netherlands, to take her first official steps.
