This Saturday, August 17 in the evening, TF1 viewers will discover the first episode of season 10 of The Voice Kids. A new season that is a bit special since Slimane and Patrick Fiori will welcome two newcomers into their group: Claudio Capéo, former candidate of the adult version of the talent show (broadcast in 2016), as well as Lara Fabian (who was already a coach for season 9 of The VoiceThe Belgian-Canadian singer will therefore find her seat again, but also her former companion.

She was in fact in a relationship in the past with Patrick Fiori. Their love story goes back more than twenty years, but the biggest fans of the two artists still remember it. They met in 1998, when the 54-year-old singer was in Canada. Their highly publicized romance, however, did not last long since the lovebirds separated during the night of New Year 2000. On December 8, 1999, before breaking up, the two stars were invited onto the set of the show Looking forward to Sunday, presented by France Télévisions’ flagship presenter, Michel Drucker. The couple then appeared on the program’s famous red sofa, kissing passionately. One of the rare images of their union immortalized by photographers. The singer thought in particular that Patrick Fiori would become the father of her future child, wrongly, while the latter said he was “madly in love” of her.

Exes still close despite their brutal breakup

Even though their story seems to have had a tragic end, Lara Fabian and her former partner seem to have overcome their old grudges by rediscovering a beautiful bond in front of the cameras of TF1. In the columns of Cinema TV Reviewrecently and in view of the broadcast of the last season of The Voice Kids, Patrick Fiori spoke about their complicity in front of the cameras, as part of their role as coaches. “I have been blocked several times [grâce au recours au Super-Block, permettant de faire un pied de nez à un collègue, NDLR] par a big international star. I wasn’t angry, but very angry,” he said with amusement, while Lara Fabian, laughing, retorted: “I had no chance if I didn’t block you!”
