Dacia has presented the restyled version of the Spring electric city car where the dashboard is completely new and more technology is found inside. The promised range is more than 220 km. Orders for the new Spring will open in the spring of 2024. The market launch is scheduled for the summer of this year.

Dacia Spring 2024 – Range, engines, weight and battery
The promised autonomy is more than 220 km for all versions (homologation in progress), “more than enough for drivers with daily routes of 37 km per day” (according to data collected by Dacia through the systems connected to the vehicle).
The battery is 26.8 kWh. The promised energy consumption is below 14.6 kWh/100 km. The car is equipped as standard with a 7 kW AC charger that allows the battery to be charged from 20% to 100% at a household outlet in less than 11 hours, or in just 4 hours using a 7 kW wall box. A 30 kW DC charger is available as an option, providing fast charging from 20% to 80% in just 45 minutes.
The Spring, with its 3.70 m length, remains the smallest model in the range (the Sandero is 4.09 m long), but the good part is the easy handling.
As with the brand’s other models, an intermediate version, the “Expression” was sandwiched between the Essential and Extreme versions.
Dacia launched Spring – its first electric car – in 2021, and since then 140,000 units have been registered, of which over 15,000 in Romania.
The new Spring now has the 65 HP/48 kW engine on a wider range of versions. This is available on both the Expression and Extreme trim levels. As for the 45 hp engine, it is available on both the Essential and Expression versions.
The company says that Spring is the only electric car that weighs less than one ton (984 kg), and thanks to its reduced weight, the new Spring consumes less energy and thus benefits from increased autonomy, while also being more efficient, say those from Dacia . The weight has increased by 6 kg compared to the 2020 version.
The new Spring is available in a choice of six shades, including the trade names ‘Beige Safari’ and ‘Brick Red’.

“The new Spring adopts the new design elements inaugurated by the third generation Duster model. The model has “a more robust look” and the interior has been completely redone. The hood is the only body component retained from the previous generation, the company says.
Dacia says the car has “exceptional interior storage space for its segment”.

The Spring now features a customizable 7″ color digital dashboard available on all trim levels, and a 10″ center screen on higher trims. The color palette and materials used for the interior have been upgraded to offer superior quality, but with a diversity of essential options to control costs,” the company says.
What Dacia says regarding the design of the new Spring
“A detail specific to the new Spring is the two black stripes present both at the level of the calender and transversely on the side of the tailgate, between the rear optical blocks. The Y-shaped light signature, similar to that of the new generation Duster, is present both in the front light blocks, with LED technology, and in the rear.
The modern design of the new Spring is emphasized by the specific stickers, which evoke the streetscape of a city, located on the front and rear bumpers, available on the Extreme trim. The 15″ rims, now available as standard on the 65 hp engine versions, contribute to the robust appearance of the new model.”
Boot space is more generous, with a total volume of 308 litres, 6% more than the previous model, or 1,004 liters with the rear seats folded – more than similarly sized rival vehicles and on par with similar models in the segment B
