The album released under the umbrella of “Sony Music Entertainment” contains 10 songs in Latvian and one in English. Together with the album, the first song of the album “Kādreiz” goes to the radio stations.

“This full-length album definitely marks a new stage in my music. I tried to feel and connect two worlds – musically, I drew parallels with pop music from the last century, while I constructed the texts on topics that are relevant to me right now.

Each song is a very real story about real people and feelings,”

the album is described by Chris Noah.

The album was made for about a year and a half, but it reached the finish line just this summer, when Chris Noah, in parallel with the concerts, spent a lot of time in the recording studio, focusing on compositions, lyrics and how he wants to hear this record.

Although the author of the album’s lyrics is mostly Chris Noah himself, the musicians heard on the recording are a bunch of the artist’s musical associates and friends – keyboardists Krists Krūskops and Mārcis Jukumsons-Jukumnieks, guitarist Kaspars Vizulis, percussionist Jēkabs Zemzaris and saxophonist Artūrs Sebris.

In addition to the already recognizable accompanying line-up, the recording also featured the string quartet “Juno”, bugler Rudolfs Dankfelds, brass players Vadims Dmitrijevs and Reinis Puriņš, percussionist Uģis Upenieks and backing vocals by Estere Tauriņa, Gabriela Zvaigznīte, Linda Anete Rušeniec and Kristīne Prauliņa.

The work on the song “Once upon a time” remained a vivid memory for the musician.

“The day of string recording was particularly beautiful, when my colleagues and I simply enjoyed and rejoiced at the charming, delightful sound of these instruments. I haven’t felt like a kid in a candy store in a long time, and I have the Juno String Quartet to thank for that.

During the recording, you could feel how fast we were progressing in each of the disciplines of the recording, so I also tried to challenge myself and set a goal – to correct the voice as little as possible in post-processing. As a result, I spent a lot more time recording the vocals, but when I listen to it, I get the feeling that it paid off.

I’m a little tired when releasing the album and this single, but I thank my peers for their support so that I could finish this record and present it to a wider audience.”

Both the single “Kädreiz” and the album were produced by the English producer Christopher Haris, who, together with musicians Krista Kruskops and Kaspars Vizulis, was Chris Noah’s biggest support shoulder in the creation of the record.

Chris Noah’s New Album: A Musical Journey

So, let’s talk about Chris Noah and his latest musical venture—an album that’s not only fresh but also a sonic representation of two worlds colliding. With a delightful platter of ten Latvian tracks and a cheeky little English ditty thrown in for global appeal, this album is making the rounds on radio stations already. Yes, it’s called Kādreiz—which translates to ‘once upon a time’, perfect for those looking to reminisce while they listen.

Now, before you write this off as another run-of-the-mill pop album—hold your horses! Chris isn’t just throwing together catchy tunes for the sake of it. Oh no! He describes his latest work as a “new stage” in his musical evolution. Somehow, I doubt that includes a dramatic wardrobe change or spontaneous dance moves. Instead, he’s drawing inspiration from the melodic vibes of the last century, all while tackling topics that resonate with him today. It’s like time traveling through a music store—but without the risk of running into your ex!

“Each song is a very real story about real people and feelings,”

Honestly, who doesn’t enjoy a deep, existential reflection while bobbing their head to a catchy beat? Chris is clearly striving for authenticity—or at least trying to capture angst in a way that doesn’t involve a diary and an overpriced therapy session. And let’s be real: the world needs more heartfelt tunes that don’t sound like they were pumped out of a factory—well done, Noah!

Collaborative Magic

Chris didn’t pull this off solo. No, no! He enlisted a squad of musical mates that would make even the most talented superheroes jealous. We’re talking keyboardists Krists Krūskops and Mārcis Jukumsons-Jukumnieks, guitarist Kaspars Vizulis, and a whole host of others—because nothing says “success” quite like a team of professionals assembled like the Avengers of the music world.

And let’s not forget the string quartet “Juno”! Just when you thought the album might sound a tad dull, they swoop in like musical ninjas, adding layers of culture and sophistication. One day, they’re practicing their scales; the next, they’re elevating Chris’s tracks to new atmospheric heights—and who wouldn’t appreciate that? It’s a delight, really. Much like the experience of finding a well-aged wine at a clearance rack.

The Recording Experience

Now, what’s a music album without a bit of drama behind the scenes? Chris spent a lengthy year and a half breathing life into this record while balancing gigs on the side. Talk about juggling! But, it appears he thrived under pressure—he describes the string recording day as “a beautiful” experience filled with joy. In his words, he felt “like a kid in a candy store,” which, coincidentally, also sounds like my last trip to the grocery store. It’s all about perspective, right?

Chris even took it upon himself to challenge the vocal perfectionism that plagues so many in the industry today. He strived to minimize post-processing on his voice, spending hours in the booth trying to capture those raw emotions. You know, the kind that are far more believable than those Auto-Tune blunders we hear all too often. Much respect for that—who knew putting down a perfect take could possibly exhaust an artist this much? Perhaps he should add “Vocal Gymnastics” as a skill to his résumé.

A Thank You Note

Finally, let’s talk about gratitude for a moment. Chris, the man of the hour, ended his reflections with words of appreciation for those around him who supported this monumental project. It’s always nice to see someone acknowledge their team, especially in an industry where egos can run higher than the charts themselves. Without this support from his friends, he might still be trying to figure out how to achieve that “perfect sound.” So, let’s give it up for friendship—it’s like the unsung hero of music!

In Conclusion

So, if you find yourself wandering into a music store or scrolling through your favorite streaming service, keep an eye—or rather, an ear—out for Chris Noah and his enchanting new album. True stories, real emotions, and delightful instrumentation await you. And hey, if nothing else, you can brag to your friends that you’re on top of the Latvian pop scene—who doesn’t love a good bit of bragging rights?
