Amsterdam – The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has put the number of deaths related to recalled ventilators from the Dutch manufacturer Philips at 561 since 2021. Between July and September 2023 alone, there were more than 7,000 reports about the devices, including 111 about deaths. The medical technology group did not initially respond to a request for comment.
