Signify, the maker of Philips Hue smart bulbs, has announced that it is bringing its Philips Hue light sync technology to Samsung TVs.
Compatible with Samsung TVs from 2019 to present
Concretely, Philips Hue Sync TV will be available on Samsung televisions, it is a paid application that allows you to synchronize your Hue lights with everything you watch, and even with your video games.
This allows owners of Samsung TVs to enjoy a “ Seamless and immersive light synchronization experience when watching movies, shows and so on.
The Hue Sync TV app works with at least Samsung QLED Q60 TV models, 2019 models, and obviously anything released following those models. Like Hue Play, once set up you can customize which Philips Hue lights sync with your TV, including sync intensity and brightness. The app supports content in all aspect ratios including 4K, 8K, and even HDR 10+.
It costs… 130 dollars, a little less than the Philips Sync Box synchronization box (250 euros). But, it remains expensive for an application.
