Philips Hue app unveils a new lighting scene by accident

Announced a few months ago, Philips Hue’s “Natural Light” scene made an appearance in the control app before being quickly removed. An error of the mark which suggests that its arrival would nevertheless be imminent.

Last fall, the sceneNatural Light” of Philips Hue had been announced with an imminent arrival, but its deployment was ultimately pushed back to a later date. Long awaited by users, it simulates natural light throughout the day. A reader of HueBlog spotted its presence in the app.

This scene promises to offer a connected lighting which simulates sunlight throughout the day. It adapts the light intensity, but also the heat automatically. By default, it starts with bright, cool tones and ends with warmer, more subdued lights in the evening.

A scene that can be modified in the application with five periods to customize. You can adjust the lighting parameters, the time slots, the lamps used (ampoulesLED strips, lights, etc.) as well as the brightness.

In the search function of the scene gallery of Philips Hue, one found until recently “Natural Light”, (“Natural light” in French). You might add it to your rooms and even use it. However, the manufacturer realized their blunder and removed it.

Users who had added it saw this message appear:The natural light scene is not officially supported yet. We strongly recommend that you do not install this scene at this time. We’ll let you know when it’s ready to use. Using this scene will cause your Hue system to behave unexpectedly ».
