Called META OLED display, the new screen technology developed by LG Display is present in new Philips TVs. Following the trend of 42″ TVs for PC games, Philips is also bringing the OLED808 model that will be available in this size. The display used is the OLED EX from LG Display and will be available in sizes 48, 55, 65 and 77 inches on the Philips OLED808.

New range of affordable Philips OLED TVs: OLED708

According to Philips, its most affordable line of OLED TVs, the OLED708, will launch later this year. It is the successor of the Philips OLED707.

Launch and availability

Unfortunately, Philips did not mention a release date or amounts that will be charged for the company’s new OLED TVs. In addition, even with several generations with OLED display launched on the market, there is still no perspective on the sale of Philips TVs with this technology in Brazil. If any model is launched in 2023, it would bring greater competition to LG, which currently dominates the OLED TV market in the country.
