The 32:9 aspect ratio might be too big for many people. That said, this format can have benefits for gaming and productivity. Apart from its impressive 45-inch width, the Philips monitor comes with an array of features such as a KVM switch, Ethernet port, and USB hub.
However, we were slightly disappointed when it came to the key element of a monitor: image quality. The panel was uncalibrated on arrival and provided slightly washed out images in our opinion. The viewing angle is also insufficient: the images displayed on the screen take on a gray tint and a red tint as soon as you look at the screen from a little higher or a little lower. Ultimately, you’ll pay around 1,000 euros ($1,085) for a very wide screen, but there are better, if significantly more expensive, options in terms of image quality.
The SuperWide form factor of the Philips 45B1U6900C is superb, as is the feature set which includes a KVM switch, Ethernet port and USB hub. Unfortunately, we’re not really impressed with the image quality of the product. There are much better, albeit more expensive, options.
