Doctor Philippe Devos has just been appointed general manager of UNESSA, the federation of reception, support, assistance and care for people, by its board of directors.
It is therefore a new hat for the anesthetist-resuscitator from Liège, also head of the intensive care unit and president of the CHC Liège Medical Council. Phillipe Devos, 48, resigned as president of ABSym, the Belgian doctors’ union, in September 2021. Luc Herry was elected in his place.
“We were seduced by the combination of varied experiences of Philippe”, explains the chairman of the Board of Directors of Unessa, Stéphan Mercier, in a press release. “His experience in the field at different levels of responsibility coupled with a more ‘political’ career, constitute a winning combination for the future of our federation”.
