A good season in the NBA doesn’t just happen on the field. This also happens on the financial side! Bank management is fundamental for any NBA team, so it’s time to take a look at the Philadelphia Sixers salaries for the 2022-23 season.

Players under guaranteed contracts for the 2023-24 season: 6
- Joel Embiid
- Tobias Harris
- P.J. Tucker
- De’Anthony Melton
- Furkan Korkmaz
- Charlie Brown Jr.
Jojo is there, Tobias Harris too, but no Ramesse who has a Player option for the 2023-24 season. Just like Danuel House Jr. and Montrezl Harrell. For Tyrese Maxey, it is a franchise option, and we have no doubt that it will be activated quickly. One thing is certain, the Sixers board may have their work cut out for them in the upcoming offseason with only 6 players under guaranteed contracts. Until then, the Sixers have time to see it coming. But be careful, we must not make a mistake to best surround Joel Embiid in his quest for the title.
Three players to watch this season:
Arrived mid-season last in Pennsylvania in exchange for Ben Simmons, James Harden begins this year his first full year for the Sixers jersey. Far from the tumults over his weight, the wag must now find his level to bring the Sixers to the top. If his association with Joel Embiid doesn’t work out and Ramesse is slow to exercise his option, the franchise might also smash everything and set up a huge trade. This situation remains unlikely, but the NBA can sometimes have many surprises in store for us. Whatever happens, James Harden must pull himself together, coming out of his worst scoring season (22 points per game) since 2011-12.
Since he left the Clippers, the interior is no longer the same and disappoints more and more. Last year, his move to the Wizards and then to the Hornets did not convince many people and Montrezl therefore came to Phila to revive himself once and for all. At 29, the beast can still render nice services and if he performs, he might well attract a few franchises next summer by declining his player option. In an energizer role off the bench, Montrezl Harrell can do wonders. At only $2 million per yearthe interior might be the Sixers’ bargain this season, it remains to be seen whether he will return as the 6th man of the 2019-20 season.
At 37, the former Heat and Bucks arrive at the Sixers with a contract that might well take him to his 40th birthday. Two years and 21.5 million potatoes are guaranteed, not to mention a player option at $11,539,000 for 2024-25. A very nice CDD therefore for a player who will have to bring all his aggressiveness and his leadership within a locker room who wants to go far. The adventure might prove to be profitable, but also very risky for Philadelphia in view of the character and the age of the man. Its management will therefore be essential, Doc Rivers will have work to do and we are already looking forward to seeing the relationship between PJ and Montrezl Harrell.
