A mother of a 14-month-old baby in Philadelphia had a nightmarish experience after her car parked at the curb was stolen, while her baby was inside.
The woman had to take her two children, aged 24 and 14 months respectively, to the grandmother.
Video footage shows the suspect simply walking down the sidewalk, before quickly seizing the opportunity to steal the vehicle, which was still running. The woman, at that moment, was at the entrance of the house, with her two-year-old son.
Regina Padilla says she had eye contact with the suspect just before the incident occurred. Family members ran outside the house to try to catch up with the car.
The suspect only made a few meters in the street, where he parked the vehicle not far from there, before fleeing on foot.
The little girl is safe and sound. The suspect is still wanted by local authorities.
