“I was in the zone, I felt I was going to win. I felt like it was written for me tonight […] I’m in love, happy, very happy… but I’m not realizing it either,” the champion told PokerNews. “This second bracelet is better than the first, there were a lot of people but it was easier, there the field was tough and it’s Las Vegas,” added Jackson, well ahead at the start of the last duel.
“I played my game, I continued and I stayed calm,” Jackson replied regarding the return initiated by Phil Hellmuth at the start of the head’s up. After a 45-minute threesome and the start of a duel in his favor, Hellmuth almost got back into Jackson’s wheel.
When he only had 20% of the chips left, Phil Hellmuth put the chips in front to raise himself but the cards were not in his favor on this last pot… The 17th charm will wait!
