The Hospital of the Merciful Sisters was one of ten exhibitors who were present at yesterday’s PflegeKompass, the career fair for the care sector, in the Upper Austria News Forum.

As every year, interested parties were able to find out more regarding training and further education opportunities this year. The four presentations included first-hand experience reports. The audience ranged from students to career changers.

One of them is Christopher Eipeltauer from Linz. The 25-year-old is a trained chef, but has long wanted to gain a foothold in the social sector. “I have already completed a 40-hour internship in a hospital, where my wish was only confirmed.”

Isabella Hengl, who has been working as a nursing assistant at the Grieskirchner site since 2006, was at the Wels-Grieskirchen Clinic stand. What makes the job attractive for you? “At the end of the day I always see what I’ve achieved,” says Hengl. Within the team there is a “special cohesion that is almost like a family”.
