Here is already the 100% electric version of the 308. In the bowels: a 156 hp engine and a small 54 kWh battery.
Peugeot had already announced the launch in 2023 of an electric version of the latest 308. But he did not wait for the new year to unveil it. And the brand already gives the technical characteristics of this e-308, available in sedan and station wagon.
Under the hood, there is a new engine of 115 kW, or 156 hp. A fairly modest power in the category of compact electric vehicles, but which will certainly be sufficient. The maximum torque is 260 Nm.
The disappointment is on the other hand on the side of the battery, of the NMC type (80% Nickel, 10% Manganese, 10% Cobalt). The total capacity is 54 kWh, only 4 kWh more than the e-2008’s battery. The net capacity is 51 kWh.

Peugeot thus promises a range of just over 400 km. That seems a bit fair for a family electric vehicle launched in 2023, rather destined to be the first car in the household. And the manufacturer does not mention the launch of a larger battery later.
Leo prefers to bet on consumption. The manufacturer indicates that the e-308 will be a benchmark in its segment, and promises a combined consumption of 12.7 kWh per 100 km. As standard, the e-308 is equipped with a three-phase on-board charger with 11 kW power. On the fast charge side, the 308 can recharge up to 100 kW. Again, we find better among rivals, for example 130 kW with the Mégane.
The electric version will be reserved for the most chic finishes, the Allure and the GT. These take care of their appearance, with Matrix LED headlamps. There are new 18-inch rims, with an aerodynamically optimized design. The equipment also includes adaptive cruise control, long-range blind spot monitoring, rear traffic alert and even the heated steering wheel.
The e-308 will be available in 2023. It will be possible to buy it online, with a 100% digital journey.
