Before their replacement in 2024, Peugeot is lowering the prices of the 3008 and 5008 in order to accompany their end of career, and resist the Renault Austral and Espace. A gift that is not really one since the two SUVs lose feathers in terms of equipment.

Peugeot has lowered the prices of the 3008 and 5008 since the beginning of September.
L’argus
While the news revolves around the new 3008, presented on September 12, and the future 5008 seen in camouflage, Peugeot must manage the end of the commercial career of its two SUVs. The current 3008 should bow out at the end of 2023-early 2024 and regarding six months later for the 5008. In the meantime, the manufacturer must continue to operate the Sochaux plant. But, since the beginning of the year 2023, sales of 3008 are settling on the French market (-13%) while those of 5008 progressed (+23.8%). Until then, the compact SUV with the lion had swept away the competition, but that of the Renault Austral is becoming threatening. Consequently, Peugeot has decided to readjust its prices downwards.
There are no small savings
If the prices remain unchanged on the Active Pack finish, those of the Allure Pack livery drop by €550 (€650 on the 5008) and €200 on the GT. During our survey on price inflation at Peugeot, we noted an increase of €3,500 to €5,100 over the period 2020-2022 depending on the version of the 3008. Which since its launch in 2016 varies from 4,300 to 8,900 €. In return, the two SUVs have gone on a diet in terms of their standard endowment:
On the 3008 et 5008 Allure Pack, Pack City 1 (front parking assistance) becomes an option, the full-grain leather of the steering wheel changes to split leather, the mesh decor of the dashboard is replaced by a carbon insert, the ambient lighting on the level of the front door panels disappears, as does the driver’s seat lumbar adjustment and the blind spot monitoring system. Added to the 3008 is the disappearance of the seat folding control from the boot and the Hybrid badges on the wings of the PHEV versions. The 5008, meanwhile, loses the Children’s Pack and the tableting of the front passenger seat. THE 3008 and 5008GT no longer feature laminated front windows on PHEVs.
Also note that version 1.2 PureTech 130 EAT8 has been removed from the catalog since the end of July, replaced by the 1.2 Hybrid 136 e-DCS6, of which here is our consumption test.
