Just in time for the middle of the life cycle, Peugeot presents the facelift model of the 508 – the revision was quite clear, much to the advantage of the mid-range French. Above all, the draftsman turned to the design.
Cooling fins are moving away from the new Peugeot emblem – just as the wind blows around the car. Looks extremely dynamic and modern. Daytime running lights in a three-claw design delimit the sides of the front, above which ultra-slim LEDs with matrix technology (glare-free high beam) light up, and that comes as standard. At the rear, the new LED lights are integrated into the three-claw design with dynamic indicators.
Peugeot mixed seven paint colors, new are Okenite white, Eclipse blue and titanium gray. With the PSE (Peugeot Sport Engineered), Okenit White, Selenium Gray and Perla Nera Black complement the color palette.
From the distance cruise control (ACC) to the night view: the package of assistance systems is packed to the brim above average. The market launch for the facelift models is in the summer of 2023, and Peugeot has not yet announced any prices.
The drives
The 508 remains true to the combustion engines, both in the sedan and in the station wagon version: the petrol engine 1.2 l Pure Tech 130 has an output of 96 kW (131 hp), the turbo diesel 1.5 l BlueHDi 96 kW (131 hp). The plug-in hybrid range with the 165 kW (225 hp) drive is being expanded to include the 180 hp variant. The eight-speed automatic is standard on all models. The PSE model comes with the 360 hp plug-in hybrid.
