Petrucci surprised by Suzuki’s performance in Thailand

Suzuki rider Danilo Petrucci expressed his happiness to ride the Japanese manufacturer’s bike in the Thailand Grand Prix, the seventeenth round of the MotoGP World Championship 2022 season.

Petrucci will replace injured Joan Mir in the Tour of Thailand, and despite qualifying in last place for tomorrow’s race, Petrucci might not hide his admiration for the Suzuki bike.

“I think I’m the happiest person on the planet this weekend,” the Italian said. “A great Suzuki bike.”

He continued, “I was very upset in the second practice session because the yellow flags appeared during my fast laps, and this caused me to make some mistakes.”

“Although I was a full second off my lead, the grip was great, the tires worked well, and everything was going according to the team’s plan.”

“I still struggled a bit in the first and second sections, because I haven’t adapted to the bike yet, especially since these sections require strong braking, but all I can say is that the bike is great in every way.”

Petrucci concluded: “A Suzuki is completely different from a Ducati and KTM bike, and I am amazed at how quickly I can get in and out of the turns, as I used to say to myself I am very fast, I am very fast, and when I enter the corner the bike remains in the racing line. Perfect, which is very cool.”
