Petroleum Dealers Association’s decision to close petrol pumps from 6 am tomorrow – Pakistan

On the one hand, the negotiations with the government of Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association have failed and the association has decided to close petrol pumps across the country from 6 am on July 5. On the other hand, Pakistan Oil Tankers Association has announced its detachment from this strike.

The negotiations between the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers and the government have failed once again, according to the Petroleum Dealers Association, no result could be reached in the negotiations.

The Dealers Association says that meetings were held with the Finance Minister, Chairman FBR, Chairman OGRA, and they repeatedly demanded the government to withdraw the tax, but no result could be obtained in the negotiations. After which the petroleum dealers announced to close the petrol pumps from 6 am tomorrow.

President Petroleum Dealers Association Abdul Sami Khan said that we are doing the strike under compulsion, we have repeatedly demanded the government to withdraw the tax, we are not accepting the demands of all possible efforts, there is no option other than the strike.

Yesterday also, the delegation of Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association had meetings with the Finance Minister, Chairman FBR and Chairman OGRA, but no result could be reached in the negotiations.

He had said that there will be no negotiations until the government withdraws this decision, 14 thousand dealers across the country will shut down their pumps from July 5.

On the other hand, the Oil Tankers Owners Association has announced its dissociation from the strike on July 5 by the Petroleum Dealers Association.
