Started by Petrojet, one of the companies Petroleum sector In the installation of one of the largest mobile heat treatment furnaces for static equipment in the world, in the context of maximizing manufacturing and local component.
The furnace was designed by the English company, Storck, and is used in the heat treatment of equipment with standard lengths and heights (55 meters in length and 10 meters in height). The furnace was completely self-manufactured in Petrojet’s manufacturing workshops.
The furnace consists of sectors that are easily assembled and disassembled, which enables it to process units with a length of more than 55 meters.
It is noteworthy that the engineer, Tariq Al-Mulla, is a minister petroleum And mineral wealth, during the past week, the first meeting of the Board of Directors of Petrojet for the year 2023, which was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, witnessed a presentation by Eng. 5 workshops, which are qualified with international manufacturing licenses (AS ME) in the field of static equipment, and a license (N Stamp) for nuclear station equipment, where Petrojet succeeded in the year 2022 in manufacturing more than 366 static equipment, with a total weight exceeding 10 thousand tons, with a value of 240 million dollars, compared to 350 million dollars if it was imported from abroad.
During the meeting, the company’s establishment of the first specialized workshops for the manufacture of static equipment in Assiut, to serve the sector’s projects in that region, especially the projects of Assiut and ANOPC companies, was reviewed, especially since Petrojet succeeded during the year 2022 in manufacturing specialized static equipment with raw materials and dimensions that are manufactured for the first time in Egypt, which were Limited to import from abroad only, where one of the largest mobile heat treatment furnaces for static equipment in the world was successfully installed, which was entirely self-manufactured in Petrojet workshops, and REACTORS kerosene reactors were manufactured as a general contractor for the first time in Egypt, and the completion of the manufacturing work of a tower Vacuum with a weight of 500 tons and a diameter of 7.8 meters for the first time also in Egypt, in addition to the use of heat treatment technology using INTERNAL FIRING for giant static equipment and the manufacture of heat exchangers with unprecedentedly large diameters of up to 2 meters.
The meeting reviewed the company’s future plan to establish the first specialized workshops for the manufacture of equipment in the modern petroleum zone of Tabbin, to be the largest and most modern equipment manufacturing workshops in the Arab region and Africa.
The meeting also reviewed Petrojet’s success in implementing the Egyptian oil sector’s strategy to maximize the external presence of the sector’s companies in securing new contracts during the year 2022, amounting to 123.5 billion pounds, including contracts outside Egypt at a value of 81.4 billion pounds. The most important new projects and contracts won by the company were in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, where he explained Petrojet succeeded in winning two projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the NEOM region, with a total value of more than 78 billion pounds, and two projects in the United Arab Emirates, with a total value of 2.1 billion pounds.
Engineer Tariq Al-Mulla confirmed that the presence of petroleum sector companies outside Egypt represents a strength for the sector and its subsidiaries, including Petrojet, and is in line with the great expertise and competence enjoyed by these companies that compete with major international companies operating in this field.
He added that the localization of local manufacturing comes among the main objectives of the petroleum sector with the aim of increasing the local component in the sector’s projects inside Egypt and gaining a new competitive advantage that allows export abroad, especially with the growing global demand for such equipment, which supports the sector’s effective participation in supporting the national economy. That Petrojet’s success in manufacturing a number of specialized static equipment that was imported from abroad represents a reflection of the success of the sector’s strategy to increase the local component and increases the strength and distinction of the sector and its specialized arms.
