After the films Kuttanadan Papappa, Margam Kali and Sheero, Sreejith Vijayan started writing and directing ‘Idiyan Chanthu’. The pooja and switch on ceremony of the film was held at Lal Media. Idiyan Chanthu also has the distinction of having Peter Hein as the action choreographer. The film also has the distinction of Salim Kumar acting with his son.
Produced by Shafiq, Zubair, Raees, Vision Unnikrishnan and Sreejith Vijayan under the banner of Happy Productions, Idiyan Chanthu is said to be an action packed film full of humor and emotion. Apart from Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Salim Kumar, Chanthu Salim Kumar, Ramesh Pisharati, Lalu Alex, Johnny Antony, Lena, Jayashree, Binu Sopanam, Sminu Siju, Vidya Vijayakumar, Suraj Talakad, Salim and others are also present in the film.
