The canton he represents, as the majority shareholder in FMV, took control of the Grengiols project and was not even able to create a realistic visualization. During the voting campaign, he completely hid himself and – despite requests from other state councilors – did not hold any media conferences. He sent a senior official to the “Nouvelliste” voting platform in central Valais instead of appearing himself. Christophe Darbellay sharply criticized Roberto Schmidt at the general meeting of Valais hoteliers. The State Council would finally have to take the energy dossier away from Roberto Schmidt.
