During the weekend, the French team player became European junior precision shooting champion. After a controlled success in the semi-final against Local Moral Moya, the French player did not tremble in the final to dominate the Czech Dan Geisler. A success which left the main person very moved.
“It is, for the moment, one of the most beautiful jerseys I have had”explains David Charpentier. “Now we will try to aim even higher. I had a very big semi-final where I didn’t give up. I had a little drop in the final, but it was enough. »
French champion in July, European champion in October
An emotion even stronger than that which occurred during the summer, when David Charpentier became French junior champion in triplet. NEogers, coming from Lot-et-Garonne, he triumphed in the company of his comrades from the Condom Pétanque Sports Association. A member of the Pôle France, he is today an executive of the French teams in the youth categories.
“That’s why we do this job, to experience ups and downs, to be able to perform and improve”underlines his coach, Jérémy Chanez, also very moved. “It was important to me that David won this medal, he made a lot of progress, he worked a lot for it. He fully deserves it, I am very proud of him. I know that he will represent the French teams well among the Espoirs in the years to come. »
