Russian President Vladimir Putin has been using the Kremlin apartment frequently since the start of the military operation, his spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. Mr. Putin previously said that he held the informal part of the talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping in this apartment.
The Kremlin spokesman said that the head of state uses the apartment “as the work schedule is busy.” Answering a question from TASS regarding how often he uses it, Mr. Peskov said: “Very often with the onset of SVO.”
The President of the Russian Federation said that during an informal meeting with Mr. Xi, he asked him “out of friendship” to move to an apartment inside the Kremlin. “Sitting by the fireplace and drinking tea, we talked regarding everything slowly. We talked regarding the situation in world affairs, and in a variety of aspects,” Mr. Putin said.
Xi Jinping paid an official visit to Russia on March 20-22. An informal meeting between the leaders of the two countries took place on the first day of the Chinese President’s visit. It lasted four and a half hours.
