Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) spokesperson said on Thursday that while landing at Peshawar’s Bacha Khan International Airport, the landing gear of a Saudia Airlines aircraft caught fire, but there was no casualty in the incident.

All 276 passengers and 21 crew members got off the plane safely through the inflatable slide, the spokesman said.
Saudia Airlines said in its statement that the experts are now technically evaluating the plane.
Saudia Airlines said in a statement that tests will be conducted along with repair work and a comprehensive inspection of the aircraft to ensure safety.

This flight was coming from Riyadh to Peshawar.
Earlier on June 1, Hajj Flight PK 839 of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) had to make an emergency landing at Riyadh Airport due to ‘high temperature warning’.
However, according to the PIA spokesperson, this warning was proved false.
According to PIA spokesman Abdullah Khan, a high temperature warning came in the cargo cabin of the aircraft during the flight, following which the flight was diverted from Jeddah and landed at Riyadh Airport.
The PIA spokesperson further said that ‘following checking the aircraft, the high temperature warning was found to be false and the flight was once more diverted to Jeddah.’
